The Milton State Bank
Milton was the site of Caswell County’s first bank, a branch of the State Bank of North Carolina, circa 1860. Bars still remain on the front windows, as the front portion housed the bank itself, while the rest of the building served as the private residence of the banker. After transitioning into the Milton Post Office for a time, the Old Bank then became a family home for a number of years until falling into critical disrepair. The Greek Revival / Italianate style building was completely restored in 2013-14.
